Microsoft finally unveils its latest OS – Windows 7 available for download via Technet and MSDN. For those who want to download Windows 7 must have an active subscription account to login to access the download and generate the beta keys for Windows 7.
It’s still in beta but as always, Microsoft hypes this latest Windows 7 release as - “Windows 7 is faster, more reliable, and makes it easier to do what you want”.
Well, they also said that when they released Vista. But after consumers upgraded, all sorts of problems came up. Vista gobbled up memory; it had conflicts with other apps, etc. Some had no other option but to downgrade back to Windows XP.
With this latest Windows 7 beta release, will Microsoft live up to the hype? Only time will tell. Oh btw, here’s some bad news, if you plan to upgrade from XP to Windows 7, that’s not going to happen because Windows 7 allows upgrades only from Vista with service pack 1. There’s still no decision if they’ll include an upgrade from XP to Windows 7 when they release it in market. But for now, you can test drive Windows 7 beta version up to August this year for free.
Here are some of Windows 7 features.
